Spring Entryway

We have officially enjoyed some spring-like temperatures in NJ this week, so I thought I would add a few spring touches to the very first place our visitors see, our entryway.

I added some spring-y chalk art to the chalkboard in here.  I also hung a cheery spring wreath that
I made last year.  It was so easy to make and you can read more about it here.

With all of the snow that we have had melting this week, those green mud/rain boots have definitely been put to good use.

I added a bunch of faux flowers to the mail basket that we keep hanging on the these hooks.  I simply wrapped the bouquet in a trimmed brown paper lunch bag and tied some twine around it.  Hopefully, I will get to use those gardening tools soon.

Are you as excited about spring as we are?  It's March in NJ so we certainly haven't seen the last of the cold temps for this year, but even just a few warm days gives up hope of what is to come after a long, frigid winter.

  1. Courtney,
Love your entry way. So cheerful and welcoming. We are hitting in the 60's here in Chicago too. It has been so wonderful. We are going to get a little colder next week but not by much so I am enjoying this Spring like weather while it lasts. Have a great week end.

    1. Hi Kris,
Thanks! Supposed to get a but colder here too next week, but I am so glad to have at least gotten a taste of spring. Although my son is upset because he thought he could wear shorts from here on out because we had one day that was warm enough. Have a great weekend! Courtney

  4. This is so cute, Courtney I love the mail basket idea! Everything is so colorful and welcoming! We've had temps in the 50's here in Illinois and it makes me want to bring out some brighter colors. Soon it will be all about getting outdoors so we better tweak inside first!!

    Happy Weekend!

    1. Hi Jane,
Thanks! I am so ready to get outdoors, but there is always so much work to get things cleaned up out there after such a rough winter. Hope you are enjoying your warmer weather. Have a great weekend!

  6. So pretty and I love the pop of color. The red and aqua is striking. It is cold and rainy here, but some of my bulbs are coming up... spring is near! xx...

    1. Thanks Brooke! There is nothing like that little glimpse of spring when the bulbs pop up, right? Hoping to see that here soon once all of the snow melts. We are getting there. Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Andrea. I just love those rain boots. I resisted buying them because I thought they were a fad, but I have had them for about a year now and I wear them all the time. They really are useful! Happy weekend :)
