A Look Back at 2014

As 2014 comes to a close, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at what we accomplished this year.  I am incredibly grateful that so many of you have visited to check out one of our projects...and stuck around to see more.  At the start of 2014, I wrote a list of goals that we hoped to complete.  We didn't get to all of them, but that's what 2015 is for, right?

In January, we posted a tutorial for out mantel hood project.  Hands down, my favorite project of the year.  For not much money, we took the whole look of our kitchen to a new level by removing the over-the-range microwave and replacing it with a DIY mantel shelf.

In February, we added this DIY chalkboard to our newly decorated entryway and I have enjoyed changing it with the seasons.

In March, we "hacked" a coffee table that we bought at Ikea by adding some planking to the top.
In April, we added a new chandelier and drapes to our dining area.

In May, we added some affordable, light blocking window panels to our Master Bedroom so Billy could sleep better during the day when he is working nights.
In June, we added a DIY stair runner to the wooden (very slippery) stairs that lead down to our entryway.
In July, I shared more about the namesakes of this blog, our goldens.  I was so touched by the many wonderful e-mails from so many of you who love your pets as much as we love ours.  Forrest continues to do well and we pray that he stays that way for 2015!
In August, we were thrilled to see our master bathroom in a magazine!
In September, we did lots of decorating for fall, my favorite season.
In October, we painted our family room wall unit white to brighten up the space.
In November, we added some planking to a wall in our family room and created a winter themed gallery wall.
In December, we shared our Christmas Home Tour.
And now, I can't wait to see what 2015 brings.
