Christmas in our Living Room

Welcome to our living room, all decorated for the holidays.  This is the main living area in our split level home.  Because we removed a couple of walls, this space is also open to our kitchen.  We have a real tree up here this year and it smells so pine-y and fresh.  This room is casual and comfortable and full of some of our favorite Christmas things.  I hope you enjoy taking a peek!

Hanging the tv over our fireplace made the most sense for this room, but I don't like the black hole it becomes when the tv is off, especially when we have guests over.  Billy solved that problem by copying a picture of our family's Upstate NY house in the snow onto a usb flash drive and displaying it on the screen.

I added some fresh holly (from Trader Joe's), greenery from our yard and some birch logs to our olive bucket.

    1. Thank you, Lisa. Every year I think maybe I should try to do something different with my Christmas decor, and yet I still come back to red and green.

    1. Hi Jeanette,

Thank you! I picked up the olive basket on clearance at Target in the early fall when they were getting rid of all of the outdoor patio stuff. I will keep my eye out and let you know if I see any soon.

Thank you so much. You always leave me the nicest comments. I hope you are having a great week. We are getting tons of rain here in NJ, but I guess we should be happy it isn’t all snow.
