October Around Our House

Hello friends!  I am looking forward to the three day weekend thanks to Columbus Day on Monday.  I added a few more fall touches around the house and also found a great Target clearance deal this week and you know how happy that makes me:)   Meet my new $11 lamp base...

For that price, it just sort of jumped in my cart.  Somehow, they still had 2 on the shelf, which really got me excited because to snag 2 lamps for the price of half of a regular priced one, well that is too good to be true.  Unfortunately, the second one had a big hole in the back of it so I only ended up with one.  However, I might check out a few more Targets in the area to see if I can find another.  I love me some lamp symmetry on a console table.

I also picked up the cutest felt leaf garland at Target.  I found it over by the party paper goods section on the end cap.

This time of year, I love the light that glows in these windows in the late afternoon.  To look out these windows and see the kids and dogs playing in the yard while I cook dinner is just the best.

I love to cook at this time of year.  Here is a picture of a few of our favorites I have been making.
I have been seeing a lot of deer out these windows too.

I don't decorate much for Halloween specifically, just general Fall stuff.  But I always bring out this picture I got years ago at HomeGoods of 3 ghost trick-or-treaters.  Which makes me a bit sad because most of my boys are beyond the trick-or-treat stage.

I also brought out our pumpkin cookie jar, which really pops on our white hutch.

As you can see in the picture below, our wooden bowl is still overflowing with apples after picking them in Vermont a couple of weeks ago.  This is our third (and last) bowl full.

Have you found any fabulous deals at Target lately?  I would love to hear about them so please do tell.  I hope you get to do something fun on this long weekend!

    1. Aw thanks Becca!! Both the towel and pillow cover are from H and M. I hadn't even realized they carried home stuff, but they do and it is really great stuff.
