Spring Around the House Featuring Target Tablecloths as Curtains

Spring has finally arrived and it is such a welcome sight!  Here in NJ, this winter felt everlasting and the warm sun feels especially refreshing this year.

Now that our bathroom project is complete, I've been lightening things up around the rest of the house.  I was in Target last week (why yes, I am in Target every week day), and I loved these tablecloths.  Thing is, with 3 boys, fabric tablecloths don't last longer than a day without needing to be washed.  I knew I had seen tablecloths used as drapes on Pinterest, so I thought I would try it.  Here is a close up of the fabric...

Welcome to our home.  The above picture was taken in our family room.  Let's start our tour in the kitchen.  The kitchen, breakfast nook, and dining room are all one open space.

Outdoor Shower

A few summers ago, we rented a lake house that had an outdoor shower. Showering outside was something we all enjoyed. Billy came up with the idea to build one in our pool area. He poured a concrete slab and tied into the plumbing from inside the house.  We did some research online and found the idea to use vinyl fencing to create the shower enclosure.  We bought 3 pieces of 6 ft vinyl fencing and used a gate hinge to make the door.  We also added some privacy lattice to ensure privacy from anyone who might be on the deck above.

We added some river rock around the base and pavers for a path.

We hang some shower supplies in Target dollar section containers.

We also created a shelf from rust resistant L-brackets that hold up a shelf made from a piece of extra fencing as we had to cut one panel down).
