Some Summer Decor

Happy Fourth! Today I thought I would share some of the red, white and blue decor that I added to our kitchen. We are home in NJ for the long holiday weekend because the 4th is my mom's birthday and I like to be able to spend time with her that day.

I've been collecting this patriotic decor through the years. This year I added some new dish towel curtains from HomeGoods.

The pennant banner was from Sur La Table several years ago. They have a slightly different one this year and, now that it is on sale, I ordered one for the porch at the cabin. I love the fun and festive vibe these banners add.

I'm burning one of my favorite candles in a vintage blue mason jar from Cultivated Candle Company. This one is their Greenhouse scent.

Their entire summer collection of candles is awesome this year and I'm having a hard time picking a favorite scent. The Coconut Palm is divine for summer.

We enjoy most of our meals on the back deck. This area overlooks the pool area.

I also set up a little sitting area on our lower level covered patio.

Finally, I thought I'd share the window seat in our bedroom with some colorful summer decor. Summer is always such a great time to read so I it always feels right to add some summer touches to this space.

We've been making lots of fun changes on the cabin that I am looking forward to sharing with you next. I hope you'll stop back to see it.

  5. Uplifting pics as always! I adore your style! Question. Where and how do you store all your textiles and decorations? Do you need a storage facility for everything? We have just downsized from 3000 sq ft to 850 sq ft. I am having a hard time with storage. Totes are cumbersome. Any ideas?
