Leaf Peeping in Vermont & the Adirondacks

This fall has been an unusual one for our family because we were able to spend a good chunk of time in the mountains while Billy was out of work recovering from surgery. Because of the way the Jewish holidays and Columbus Day fell, the kids were also off of school a few days, giving us a couple of nice long weekends. Usually we cross our fingers and hope for some decent foliage on the weekend we go upstate in the fall. This year, we were actually able to see the peak foliage come and go. And, let me tell you, it comes and goes in a matter of a few days. Which I guess is what makes it so special. Come along on one of our fall rides with us!

Our favorite apple picking farm in Vermont continues to grow every year. It is exciting to see what this young family of farmers has achieved.
Thanks for coming along on our ride today. This weekend, we are back home in NJ and everyone has returned to work and school. It is safe to say we are all homesick for these mountains we love so much. These pictures will just have to hold us over...until next time.

  1. Breathtakingly Beautiful!!! I can see why you all love it there. Thank you for sharing your home and your life with us. I haven't known of your blog for very long, but just last week I snagged one of your decorating ideas for our home (trying to gradually transform our basic 1990s modified 2-story into a farmhouse). Blessings & Shalom

  3. Oh, Courtney, your photos are stunning! It looks like you made it up north at just the right time. The leaves are so vibrant. I am hoping we don't loose too many leaves here this weekend with all the rain. Some of our trees are already almost bare and others have barely turned colors. Enjoy your weekend!
